Former UK Health Minister Wes Streeting has said that he will participate in any formal challenge for the Labour party leadership in the UK.
He says any leadership challenge should be a battle about ideas and not personalities.
So what is his big idea?
The UK should rejoin the EU!
Really.
That alone tells you that Labour doesn't have any big ideas.
It just wants to recyle yesterday's old ideas that have already been rejected by the electorate.
It is understandable of course.
Now that the UK (aka Airstrip One) can't rely on 'big daddy' (the USA) to look after it then it needs to go crawling back to the EU to seek European protection from the alleged Russian 'threat' and maybe benefit from debt-fueled EU handouts.
BREXIT was the last big idea - now Streeting wants to reverse it.
Is it any wonder that Labour are in such dire straights?
If he had said the UK should become the 51st state or ally with China now before it's too late or stop funding a proxy war in Ukraine, then those would have been big ideas.
But he wants to rejoin the EU.
Bonkers!
