The FT reports:
Ukraine awards Elon Musk medal as it seeks Starlink approval
Tech billionaire reluctant to allow satellite system to be used for drone strikes deep inside Russia
In a blatant attempt at flattery and to get one up on Fedorov who claims friendship with Musk and who has been calling for Ukrainian elections, Zelensky has awarded Elon Musk Ukraine's Order of Freedom.
If Musk accepts the award then he will join illustrious previous recipients such Presidents Bush and Biden and Ursula von der Leyen, all of whom have 'ordered freedom' in various places - whether they want it or not.
So while Poland is giving their Ukrainian awards back, Zelensky continues to dish them out to all and sundry.
Expect one to turn up on 'Flog-It' sometime soon.
Which reminds FNN of another Bernard Manning joke:
I's love to go on that Antiques Roadshow and after being asked by some old woman what I think her precious item is worth, I'd tell her: F**K all!
FNN asked the elusive Norwegian head of the Davos-based Mysterons for comment:
Cowering earthlings!
This award will make no difference as we will shoot down all the Starlink satellites just in case they will be used for an invasion of Mars.
We will transmogrify the award itself into a fig newton.
Whooooohahahahaha!
It remains a source of speculation as to why Russia should not just shoot down some Starlink satellites if they start to be used to identify targets inside Russia rather than inside Ukraine.
After all, this is what the USA or Israel or the EU or the UK would undoubtedly do in the same situation.
They are weapon of war and surely Musk realises this, award or no award?
