Sky News has done some very strange reporting on the recent train strike in Ukraine.
06:31 The drone that struck the train travelling just behind Boris Johnson's may have been meant for the one carrying the former prime minister and other European diplomats.
"It is entirely possible that the Russian drone's intended target was the diplomatic train," Ukraine's railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, said on Telegram.
Yes it's entirely possible as well as entirely not possible or maybe it was just a warning?
There are consequences to provoking, provisioning and prolonging a war that is killing both Russians and Ukrainians.
06:40 I don't know what warped logic drove Putin to blow up a stationary Ukrainian locomotive on the Polish border this morning," the former prime minister wrote on X.
The train described by Sky as 'travelling just behind' has now become a stationary locomotive according to Johnson.
06:44 We have more reactions to bring you to yesterday's attack that hit the train travelling after Boris Johnson's, which also carried multiple European diplomats.
The train is travelling again.
07:10 Boris Johnson was notably travelling on a train with several high-profile figures when the train behind was targeted as he was leaving Ukraine.
07:52 As we reported at 7:10, Boris Johnson was travelling with several notable figures when the train behind his own was struck by a Russian drone.
08:17 We've been hearing from Boris Johnson this morning, some 24 hours after his train was nearly hit by a Russian drone.
Nearly hit? It's travelling in a war zone. Anything travelling anywhere in either Russia or Ukraine could be 'nearly hit' by a drone as both Russia and Ukraine use hundreds of them every day to attack targets in both Ukraine and Russia.
08:40 The train attack near miss for travelling diplomats was "very alarming", says Moscow correspondent Ivor Bennett.
This is for two reasons, he says: firstly, the targeted town of Yahodyn is "very, very close to the Polish border", around two kilometres away.
"That's NATO territory," he says.
So what? NATO is supplying weapons to Ukraine to kill Russians in 'Russian territory' does NATO expect to do this with zero consequences? (Answer: yes it does.)
Secondly, the train line is "frequently used by foreign delegations when they leave Ukraine, going into Poland".
If you send people to Ukraine to prolong and provision a war that they provoked and prevented from ending way back in 2022 then really - what can you expect?
10:57 Russia's armed forces are "operating across Ukrainian territory and would continue to do so", Peskov said in his daily news briefing.
i.e. Listen up people! This is a war zone. Blue 'diplomatic' trains are not Red Cross trains.
Once again, if Russia failed to hit the train that Sky implies they meant to hit (yes - yet another Russian drone failure - they can't seem to hit anything) then the right question to ask is: Cui bono from another 'failed' drone strike?

Sky News reports Mark Galeotti:
Russia signals 'we could have done something' in Boris Johnson train scare, analyst says
Russian analyst Mark Galeotti doesn't believe Moscow tried to kill former British prime minister Boris Johnson after a train near his own was targeted as he was making his way from Ukraine to Poland.
