According to the Metropolitan Police, the 60th Notting Hill Carnival passed 'without incident' over the weekend as Sky News reports:
More than 550 people were arrested at Notting Hill Carnival, police have said, and one man died following a chase with officers who stopped him entering the event.
The annual Caribbean festival in west London was celebrating its 60th anniversary over the weekend, with the main parade taking place on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Metropolitan Police described the atmosphere as "overwhelmingly positive and celebratory" and said it "passed largely without incident".
Stop and search was also used extensively, with a handgun among 62 weapons seized. There were still two knife attacks, though neither resulted in life-threatening injuries.
If this had been a right-wing protest against immigration and there had been 550 arrests, one death, knife attacks and a handgun seized, the MSM would have been all over it: thugs, criminals, racists etc.
The point is not that the carnival should be stopped, as the overwhelming majority of people attending are doing so peacefully and appear to enjoy themselves.
The point is the way the police use this 'without incident' language in connection with a 'diversity' event to portray what can only be described as serious disorder in policing terms.
