Perfect Storm

In London today

London will experience a challenging Saturday today:

  1. The FA Cup Final that brings tens of thousands of football supporters to the capital
  2. Tommy Robinson's 'right-wing' Unite the Kingdom march
  3. The Nakba Day demonstration for 'left-wing' pro-Palestine marchers

An 'unprecedented' police operation involving some 40,000 police and costing £4.5 million is required to keep the peace plus lots more facial-recognition technology in use to add to the national database. The UK is fast becoming another China for facial-recognition - it's everywhere.

But will today prove more troublesome than the 'diverse' 2026 Notting Hill carnival when, according to the BBC:

Eight stabbed and 334 arrests at Notting Hill Carnival

Various speakers for Unite The Kingdom have already been banned or prevented from entering the UK according to Searchlight magazine:

Among those whose electronic travel authorisations have been revoked or refused are Dutch commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek, Spanish influencer Ada Lluch, Belgian Vlaams Belang politician Filip Dewinter, Polish MEP Dominik Tarczyński, and American chum of Robinson, Don Keith.

Along with all that, many others in the UK would also like the PM to step down and let someone else have a go.

Sounds like a perfect storm!
