Get off the cloud

Cybernews reports:

Empty shelves and stalled production lines:” UK suffering four major cyberattacks a week

“Nationally significant” cyberattacks in the UK more than doubled compared to last year. Disruptions at Marks & Spencer, the Co‑op Group, and Jaguar Land Rover grabbed the headlines, and over 200 other major breaches occurred in one year, NCSC said in a report.

Time to get off the cloud and go back to on-premise IT protected by new AI technology to combat hacks.

The cloud is a single point of failure and cloud systems that host multiple corporate assets are a much juicier target for hackers than 'single point' on-premise solutions.

But seldom do we see anyone advocating getting off the cloud as a potential solution to cyberattacks.

Why?

Because the cloud has been a massive money-spinner for the IT industrial complex and no-one wants to kill the goose that laid a golden egg.
