A Massachusetts woman is being charged with 'assault and beetery' after releasing swarms of bees on law enforcement officials serving an eviction notice.
A Massachusetts offical told FNN:
This is the first time anyone in the USA has been charged with assault and beetery which literally means being assaulted by bees. All the officials that were attacked have come out in hives.
Apparently the eviction notice was served due to the beehives being illegally sited and the bees ignoring a public order condition to refrain from swarming on Sundays.
