Sky News reports from the Lib Dem conference in the UK that the Lib Dem leader claims he is 'way more popular' than either Farage (Reform) or Polanski (Greens).
Count Binface was not included in the poll but maybe Ed Davey is more popular than him also?
The poll results Sky quotes seem to support his claim but what matters is votes and whether your party can secure 100s of millions in funding.
The problem the Lib Dems have is that they used to be the 'third way' in British politics but now the competition has increased as Reform and the Greens chip away at either end of their voting spectrum.
Davey also seems to have decided that President Trump has become a kind of political piñata such that every time you whack him, out come some political sweeties to suck on.
That 'international gangster' President Trump will no doubt be cracking up over this:
Speaking to Sky News, Davey was asked about calling Donald Trump an "international gangster" in parliament.
Asked whether he would still stand by those words, Davey said "yes, I would".
He added: "If you look at how he's behaved, he's got worse. The Iran war is hurting America, hurting our country, hurting the whole world, it's been a disaster."
Davey said Trump "has to be called out", adding that he hopes Andy Burnham "stands up" to the US president.
Note that Davey doesn't put the real issue first, that the Iran war has killed lots of civilians - they are only towel-heads after all - he's referring to prices rising in the USA and in the UK and elsewhere as a result of Trump not 'standing up' to Israel.
Denmark and the EU can't stand up to Trump either having effectively made Greenland the 51st state.
And we will soon see if the Mayor of Manchester can stand up to him if Trump continues to push his support for Argentina over the Falklands issue.
