Kemi Badenoch (the leader of the UK's Conservative party) has been entertaining the House of Commons with some really quite amusing observations as Sky News reports:
When she is met with jeers, she jokes that ministers "can't wait to get back to their plotting".
"I know they don't they don't they don't want to hear it. Look at them. They are so arrogant. They want to lead our country. They can't even lead a coup."
So they would have been no use at the Maidan.
And in relation to the King's visit to the USA:
And, she jokes about the Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey calling for it to be cancelled: "We would never have got to hear it if we'd listen to some people in this house who called for the King's visit to be cancelled.
"But thank goodness no one listens to the leader of the Liberal Democrats."
And on support for the PM:
And can I also congratulate the whips for finding two backbenchers prepared to support the prime minister at this time?
She's the most amusing leader of the Tories since Baron William Hague and blathering Boris 'wallpaper' Johnson.
Meanwhile:
Sir Keir Starmer has "full confidence" in Wes Streeting, Downing Street has said.
Full confidence in what: Streeting unseating him and becoming his successor?
