People don't like the EU. They don't like it in the UK, in France or in Germany.
The original idea of the EU - great - a common market with common trading standards and no tariffs.
But then it steadily morphed into the political/legal monster it is today, the direct cause - by its policies - of some of the biggest crises faced by many of its members:
- uncontrolled illegal immigration
- sky-high energy costs
- the re-emergence of the far-right (and far-left)
- the prospect of war with Russia
It's a mystery why any country would want to pay billions every year to this bureaucratic nightmare whose only real source of income is fines levied against those who don't obey its policies, promotes stealing other countries assets to pay for proxy wars and sanctions individuals for not following their narrative line - first it was them, but soon it will be you.
Why would the UK want to get f**ked behind the bike shed again so the EU can crow about how the UK gave in and lowered its knickers?
