Barmy Burnham

Will he replace Barmy Starmy?

As the UK awaits Starmer's resignation announcement 'for the good of the country', not everyone is convinced Burnham will be any better.

Andy Burnham is going to be yet another terrible prime minister

Politico says:

The POLITICO Poll: Even Andy Burnham will struggle to save Labour

Research from Public First finds Burnham is Labour’s best hope to take on Nigel Farage — but a coalition may be the most he can deliver.

Basically, even if Burnham is made leader of the Labour Party his is just a finger in the dyke holding back the murky waters of Reform.

It's really quite incredible that Starmer could have screwed up a landslide victory at the last general election so badly.

Update: Starmer resigned at 10 am 22/07/26.

Maybe premature but FNN has minted a new post category - Barmy Burnham - to supercede Barmy Starmy.
