AIBookbot uses AI to write books and it does this through AI APIs that require the use of a key to function.
New users are now allowed to create one free AI book but then must add their own AI API keys to create more books.
There are two keys needed:
- an Anthropic API key for textual content
- an OpenAI for cover image generating
We recommend makemybookcover.com as an alternative for generating book covers but this is a paid-for service.
You can either ask AI to generate your book cover or upload your own cover image generated elsewhere.
The topbar AI link loads the dedicated AI admin page (see screenshot):
- AI usage summarises usage of your AI API keys by AIBookbot
- AI keys is where you upload and manage your AI API keys
- AI preface is where you write the AI-specific preface for your book (this is different from the Author's preface)
