AIBookbot Use Case

What is it for?

AIBookbot is an app for creating AI-generated books.

Yes, you can do this using AI directly but the app makes it easier to:

  1. create the content using an AI-generated outline or your own
  2. manage your AI book library
  3. publish them for viewing online (PDF or EPUB formats)
  4. order printed author copies from Lulu

I created this app mainly for my own use to crank out various books on topics that interest me.

AIBookbot is intended to be used for non-fiction/factual books.

I am also a children's book author and my view is that humans should write fiction, not AI, but that's just my personal view.

Why Write an AI Book?

An obvious reason is that you are too lazy to write it yourself or don’t have the time - whatever the actual excuse is.

But another more positive reason is that many people want to write a book about something that specifically interests them that will either never get published or never cover its costs if ‘vanity’ published.

Others may want to cover a topic that has been written about many times before but in their own way to reflect their own preferences, biases etc. AI writes books according to the author’s instructions (i.e. prompts) and the content can be ‘tweaked’ as many times as you want to get the intent result you want.

Or maybe the topic has genuinely never been written about before and the author wants to be the first to deliver a book on the topic. What this means is that there is virtually no topic that can’t be written about and publication does not depend on traditional publishing gatekeepers.

The best way to write your book is to write it yourself and self-publish if you can’t find a publisher or use AIBookbot.

Why Does AIBookbot Not Sell Your AI Books?

AI books are written by AI, not you, so in our view it is morally dubious to sell them.

AIBookbot helps you to use print-on-demand services like Lulu to print author's copies for you, your family and friends.

In reality you are not really the 'author' of the book but you do have a 'designer' role in the generation of the book content:

  1. You can tell AI to use your own outline for the book
  2. You can add your own author notes to each chapter and correct mistakes
  3. You can add you own marketing blurb and preface

So although you are identified as the author, you book could be 100% or less depending on how much you have enggaed with the content generation.
