'Westminster's time is coming to an end', declare nationalist leaders as they sign cooperation agreement
The nationalist first ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have declared that "Westminster's time is coming to an end" and that the "political landscape across these islands is changing".
It's rather amusing that while the MSM spends so much time worrying about 'right-wing' nationalism in the UK, the nationalist first ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have been quietly promoting their own brand of nationalism i.e. bringing Westminster to an end.
The SNP wants independence for Scotland, and Plaid Cymru want an independent Wales. Sinn Fein wants Northern Ireland to be reunified with the rest of Ireland.
If this all proceeds the way the co-operating first ministers would like it to, England will need all the nationalism it can get in order to preserve its own status in the Union, that is if the Union survives.
Maybe this is the 'reform' that the UK really needs and many of its people presumably want, if the first ministers are to be believed, for the Union to be broken up?
