Ey Up Minister

Number 10 North

No. 10 North is taking shape under UK PM Andy Burnham.

The new hub of government in the north is above a pub called the Rovers Return at the end of Coronation Street.

FNN asked local resident, hair-netted Ena Sharples, what she thought about having No. 10 North on her street and she told us to 'F-off you southern bastard!'

Another local resident, Elsie Tanner, gave us the finger saying 'Devolve on this!'

At least 3 civil servants have agreed to move north from London to staff the new devolved outpost, attracted by the lower cost of housing, the chance to hobnob with new Northern Creative Ambassadors Oasis and a free annual tram pass.

Burnham expects to spend most Fridays at No. 10 North, mainly consisting of a boozy lunch down the local with some fried tripe followed by a knees-up.

The BBC is already working on a new sitcom called 'Ey Up Minister', starring Sean Bean as the clog-wearing PM, to chronicle the rise of No. 10 North and how things really are different up there.

This will be the first sponsored BBC show as the broadcaster tries innovative ways to get more revenue from northern viewers.

Yorkshire Cuppas, the tea producer, have agreed to sponsor the show in exchange for copious shots of actors having a Yorkshire Cuppa and a slice of Parkin.
