Viziappz were created with the help of AI (usually Anthropic Claude).
App Categories
They fall into 3 categories:
- Tripos apps - simple 3-panel apps
- Moviewriter - 3-panel apps for screenplay writing and analytics
- Moviemaker - 3-panel apps for small-scale indie/student moviemaking productions
Each of these categories is itself a category on this blog.
3-Panel Apps
3-panel apps are modelled on the Apple Notes UI and function like Single Page applications (SPAs) - see image above.
Usually panel 1 drives panel 2 and panel 2 drives panel 3.
Most apps have additional dashboard, analytic, report or PDF generation pages.
AI Enabling
Many of these apps are AI-enabled, which means that they can interact with AI APIs to provide enhancements.
If you want to use the AI-enabling you need one or more AI API keys that you must get from the AI vendor and add into the app so your key can be used for AI API calls.
Everytime you use an AI API call there is a cost but normally it is less than 25 cents and could be less than 1 cent (most AI vendors use USD for their charging).
If you are not happy with your content being sent to an AI for analysis then do not use the AI-enabling although this reduces the value-proposition of most viziapps.
Shared Login
The apps use a shared login which means that you don't have to sign up for every app:
- one tripos login covers all tripos apps
- one moviewriter login covers all moviewriter apps
- one moviemaker login covers all movie maker apps
Cost
All apps are free.
But if one 'takes off' it could be monetized in future alhtough this is not the intention right now.
The only cost to the user is the cost of the AI API calls and in most cases this is tracked by the app itself.
