Indian Railways Looks to the Future

Trials driverless trains

India, not satisified with its space program and the most expensive pre-nuptials in the world, is now looking to the future of transportation by trialling driverless trains on its extensive railway network largely built by those colonial monsters, the British.

Indian Railways announced it had successfully run a 53 carriage freight train for 43 miles without a driver.

The train reached speeds of 53 mph as it barrelled along the tracks.

A spokesperson told FNN:

This trial shows that we can run our trains safely without a driver so that's another job that is no longer needed and can be replaced by an AI.

This train was loaded with gravel but our next attempt will be with a commuter train loaded with passengers.
