Indulgences Make A Comeback

Martin Luther would turn in his grave

Formerly something sold by the Catholic church as a means for full or partial remission of the punishment of sin in the afterlife - indulgences were a kind of coupon that reduced your liability as a sinner, a sinner's Wowcher! so to speak.

FNN has learned that 'indulgences' are to make a comeback but today as a payment for 'white guilt'.

Now, in addition to Big Issue sellers, you are likely to find someone selling these new WGIs (white guilt indulgences) outside your local supermarket.

Please note that WGIs can only be purchased by white people.

Functioning rather like a carbon-offset, the WGI makes you feel better about yourself, acknowledges your personal responsibility for white guilt and helps someone build up enough money to buy a mansion and retire for life.

You can also purchase a book to stick your WGI coupons into, rather like the old Green Shield stamps, and when you have enough, you can send the book in to claim for a free gift, such as a bust of Abraham Lincoln or Dr Martin Luther King hand-made by redneck crackers in Alabama.
