Pyramidal Poo Mystery Solved

Scientists from the University of Hobart solve the pyramidal poo mystery.

For hundreds of years no-one has been able to figure out why Tasmanian Wombats have pyramidal poo.

If you venture into the Tasmanian outback, you will certainly have come across the little pyramidal poos, like steaming PG tips teabags, left everywhere by those cute little Wombats.

Now, scientists from the world famous Wombat Department of the University of Hobart, have finally solved the mystery by tracing the DNA of the Wombats back to their distant origins in ancient Egypt.

The Tasmanian Wombat represents the last in the line of Wombats that were personally trained by the Pharoahs of Egypt to poo pyramids.

Unfortunately their poo never got to a size that could contain a Pharoah's sarcophagus, so the Wombats were released into the desert, eventually ending up in Australia.

Tasmanian inventor Tasman "Digger" Hobart, after whom the capital city of Tasmania is named, is said to have shouted "Fuckin' Eureka" when he saw some Wombat poo.

He later invented the triangular teabag and made a fortune.
