Oleshky

A complex situation

The Guardian reports on frontline town Oleshky:

Russia and Ukraine agree to local ceasefire in Oleshky amid deepening humanitarian crisis

Apparently FOTUS melania Trump has brokered a ceasefire:

The White House statement said the ceasefire was brokered by Melania Trump, and her representative worked directly with Russian and Ukrainian ‌leadership to define the terms. “Residents who wish to evacuate will receive coordinated support and transportation to their preferred destination. I anticipate some will want to go to Russia, and some to Ukraine,” the first lady said.

Which is an odd statement given that the MSM is amplifying anti-Russian sentiments.

Why would any of the residents want to go to Russia if Russians are such devils as reported in the MSM?

As usual, this situation is full of claims and counter-claims and it's not clear where the truth really lies as it depends on who you talk to.

Trying to live in a frontline city between opposing forces must be awful and Russia knows all about just how awful that can be (e.g. Leningrad and Stalingrad).

The humanitarian crisis is nowhere near as deep as in Gaza but then they are all towel-heads right so who cares?

Interesting?
