Sky News reports:

Watch: Gunfight erupts between two Ukrainian spy services in Kyiv

This video shows a shootout between Ukraine's two main intelligence agencies on the streets of Kyiv.

Ukraine's state security service (SBU) and main intelligence directorate (HUR) exchanged fire yesterday morning, with soldiers filling the streets in the aftermath.

But oddly, UNN (no relation to FNN) released this story:

https://unn.ua/en/news/the-sbu-and-hur-thwarted-an-attack-by-the-fsb-of-the-russian-federation-against-the-deputy-commander-for-combat-operations-of-the-russian-volunteer-corps-kaplunov

Failed FSB terrorist attack in Kyiv — the name of the Russian opposition figure they wanted to kill has been revealed

UNN is described as: The information agency "Ukrainian National News" ("UNN") is an independent Ukrainian information agency specializing in exclusive news about the political, economic, and social life of Ukraine

So while even western media were covering this story as some kind of spat between Ukrainian security agencies, UNN have framed it as a failed Russian FSB attack.

Which of course could be possible as Stepan Kaplunov is a deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps, made up of dissident Russian citizens that are fighting for Ukraine.

He initially joined the Azov regiment as CNN explained in 2022:

So, he crossed the border, and joined up with the Azov Battalion – then a ragtag militia of Ukraine’s most hardcore fighters, many of whom were ultra-nationalists, and white supremacists.

Azov has since folded into the regular Ukrainian military and tried to distance itself from its extremist origins, though Russia still views the battalion as a band of neo-Nazis.

That word 'tried' is doing a lot of work!

Whereas in this New Voice of Ukraine report it is claimed he was abducted due to suspicions he was in contact with the FSB:

Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander for combat operations of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), was abducted and interrogated over suspicions that he had been in contact with Russia's FSB Security Service, he said in an exclusive interview with Radio NV on Sept. 3.

So which is it?
