Scriptplanner is used to plan a screenplay before you write it using five story dimensions:
- World — setting (place/period), the rules & logic (genre/tech/social order), atmosphere, scope. Where, and what's possible here.
- Premise — the seed ("what if…"), the controlling idea/argument, logline, central dramatic question. The one line and the one paragraph.
- Themes — the value at stake (freedom vs. security…), motifs/symbols, the question the story poses. Why it matters.
- Characters — protagonist (want · need · flaw · ghost · arc), antagonist-as-mirror, supporting cast, relationships. Each a structured entry.
- Plot — a structure template (3-act / Save the Cat / Hero's Journey), key turning points, scene/beat outline, conflict per beat. The sequence.
Your plan can be checked for coherence via AI and suggestions made to improve it.
You can export your plan to the Fountain format and then import into Screenplays like any other script.
Initially the Plot dimension only includes the 3-Act structure template others may follow.
You can also export both the Coherence check results and a Story Bible PDF.
