Well FNN uses Claude Code every day and so the answer to that question is yes.
An FNN cartoonist pal has already confirmed that AI image generation has killed his business or at least his ability to charge 'corporate' rates. Coders are also in the crosshairs.
The elite coders who code AI will not be threatened for some time yet but the coding gig economy that has flourished over the last 20 years on sites like Fiverr will be decimated in the sense that these coders will not be doing much coding themselves as they will be using AI to code for them.
So maybe their job is technically not lost but how much can you expect people to pay for an app that maybe took days to code a few years ago and now takes just an hour or two?
It still helps to have some coding knowledge to get the best from AI coding but it isn't mandatory - Claude code can create perfectly usable apps from just a basic prompt and a few questions for you to answer.
No need for a voluminous formal 'specification' of your dream app - in fact Claude will create that for you if you ask.
Oh and Claude is really good and quick at creating chart-filled dashboards at the drop of a hat.
