More fodder for the masses

Sky News reports:

Why Ukraine could now have fresh hope of vital US support

Donald Trump likes to back winners – and Ukraine looks to have the upper hand in the war against Russia. If he can be convinced that Kyiv is now starting to slowly win back territory, he might be persuaded to back the cause.

According to the 'analysis':

Working in his [Zelensky's] favour is the fact that Ukraine is now starting to show signs of having the upper hand on the battlefield, and Russia's economy is in tatters.

If this is true then why is it the case that:

The EU is the biggest financial donor to Ukraine now, covering two-thirds of its budget for the next two years and providing millions of pounds of military equipment and support.

This sentence cleverly states 'millions' instead of the 'billions' actually paid and being paid to the Ukraine and by the obvious use of selective reporting does not mention that in reality, it is Ukraine's economy that is 'in tatters' and in fact essentially bankrupt for the foreseeable future.

Everyone knows that the EU and Ukraine can't defeat Russia and that it is questionable, given its recent performance in Iran, whether the USA could either without incurring heavy losses.

In the end 'defeating' a nuclear nation is a matter of semantics anyway since the nuclear option is always there in the background.

Furthermore there is no way that China would allow Russia to be defeated and potentially have a major source of their energy come under the control of the West. It's unthinkable.

So this kind of fake narrative and analysis is just nonsense and fodder churned out for people who can't be bothered to think.
