Sky News reports on Boris Johnson's latest prognostications:
He also pleaded for western allies to step up support for the country:
"The Ukrainians are going to win - that much was clear from the last three days in their wonderful country," he said.
"But we will get this dreadful war over much faster if we all get serious and give them what they need and deserve."
If he had been serious in 2022 then the war would have been over then.
If he is serious now then he would move to Ukraine and open a wallpaper shop in beautiful downtown Kyiv.
But sadly he was not and is not and presumably can still sleep at night knowing how many have been killed since his divine intervention to prevent the 'dreadful war' from ending four years ago, at a time when very few Russians and Ukrainians had been killed.
In fact, you could be forgiven for asking, as Johnson did over the train strike, What was the point of this stupid thing?
But Johnson, like a lot of other deranged people, is fixated with the idea that Putin cannot 'win' when to some extent he already has.
Ukraine will be in debt for decades, is seriously depopulated and now split in two, all as a result of a coup backed by the west and executed (literally in some cases) by Ukrainian ultra-nationalists.
The EU is in a pickle and having to spend billions remilitarising only because that is the only way to stimulate an economy devastated by cutting off the cheap Russian energy that underpinned it for decades - as the Mekon (Merz) has admitted - and focusing on building more bicycle paths.
Although to be fair Putin has also lost in the sense that the Fourth Reich is now on the rise so we may all be in for a ghastly repeat of WW2, Russia has had to pivot to the East to sell its energy at discount prices and NATO has gained more converts to its 'defensive' alliance designed to surround and intimidate Russia.
Well. They never said that peace was won on the playing fields of Eton did they?
