The Nordic Times reports:
Germany is paying five times as much for imported gas as before long-term Russian supply contracts were abandoned, Berliner Zeitung reports.
According to the newspaper, the gas import price has risen from €12 per megawatt-hour in 2020, when the Russian long-term contracts were still in force, to more than €60 per megawatt-hour this week. The price jump comes as the international energy market is heavily disrupted by the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran, according to Berliner Zeitung.
And who suffers? The German economy and the German people as even the Mekon (Merz) admitted on the German ZDF TV channel.
...The energy crisis continues due to the lack of Russian gas.
Remember those ridiculous lies at the start of the Ukraine conflict that Russia had 'weaponized' the supply of energy to Europe when in fact it was not Russia but Europe that turned off the spigot?
As Addison de Witt would say: That was a stupid lie, easy to expose, not worthy of you.
The USA/EU hoped their proxy war would end quickly with Russia be brought to its knees by war and sanctions.
Then they could get their hands on all that lovely energy for cents on the dollar. Job done.
That didn't happen and now Germany is suffering from their own self-inflicted weaponisation of energy.
While the UK Telegraph reports:

Europe’s hypocrisy over Russian energy is shameful
The EU’s scramble to stock up on Kremlin gas exposes claims of solidarity with Kyiv as a sham
Notice the language - Kremlin gas - not Russian gas. It's surprising they did not say what they meant: Putin's gas.
But then the UK did not depend on Russian energy in the same way as the EU did before the Ukraine conflict so it's easy for them to snipe at the EU.
Of course the situation was made worse for the EU by the illegal Iranian war, started not by an 'enemy' like Russia but by an 'ally', the USA.
