The Future of Work: Why Gen Z is Demanding the 4-Day Working Week in the UK
Why UK's youngest workers are pushing for shorter weeks, and why bosses may have to listen.
Gen-Z may get more than they want with a zero-day week if Elon Musk is right that there will essentially be no work from c. 2036.

Apparently 'Gen Z are challenging the outdated idea that exhaustion equals success,' explains workplace psychologist Dr Hannah Collins. 'They want sustainable careers, not just paycheques.'
Well they may get neither.
Whoever believed that exhaustion = success rather than exploitation was obviously living in la-la land and as for sustainable careers good luck with that. Sustainable careers have been in decline since the 1970s.
A career asking AI how to do stuff or having it do stuff for you is not a career, it's an existence pretending to be a career.
All of today's careers - baristas, delivery drivers, hospitality agents, the military - will essentially be gone, just as yesterday's manufacturing 'job-for-life' careers were replaced by assembly-line robots and a handful of 'supervisors'.
Gen-Z would be better occupied figuring out what to do with their zero-working day week that is coming to a workplace near you soon.
