Flip-Flop

Loomer does a Graham

The Economic Times of India reports:

Laura Loomer visited Ukraine and witnessed an air raid firsthand and admitted to being propagandized by Russian media for years. Loomer apologized for minimizing the struggle of Ukrainians and accepting false narratives and she accepted that it was not nice of her to make such remarks about Ukraine. Her visit prompted praise from Ukraine's presidential office for countering misinformation.

Presumably Ms Loomer will now visit Russia, Gaza and Iran to experience more air raids in those places and have the same epiphany that has led to her flip-flop on Ukraine.

A Ukraine flip-flop just like that of Lindsey Graham.

One quick trip to hear an air-raid siren and suddenly your worldview is changed? Give us a break.

Maybe if she had spent some 7 years in eastern Ukraine like Benoît Paré then you could give her some credit for her 180 degree turn.

Although visits are important, just look at Sky News and the Minab school murders in Iran.

Sky News had to go there to admit it was not all made up by Iran and then turned it all into some kind of 'scoop' investigation by Sky News' intrepid journalists.

Similarly Candace Owens went to Russia to see for herself a country crippled by sanctions and the dictatorial rule of the imperialist Putin.

A country that she called 'stunning' on the basis of her quick visit.

Strangely Owens' trip was branded 'Russian collusion' while Loomer's trip to Ukraine was not branded 'Ukrainian collusion'. Go figure.

In fact one could be forgiven for thinking that Loomer's trip was prompted by nothing more than influencer rivalry.

Candace > Moscow - Loomer > Ukraine.

The real question is: who is influencing these influencers?
