Kill More Russians

No beating around the Barbarossa bush here

Marta Havryshko asks what is wrong with this question:

German journalist Michael Martens asked Zelensky: “Can you tell us Europeans what can we concretely do to help you to kill more Russians, more Russian soldiers, of course?”

Well there's a lot wrong with it as she - a Ukrainian - clearly articulates in her post on X.

When you demand more killing, you are demanding a battlefield on which Ukrainians will bleed and die too. And if you can cheer for that from the safety of Europe while congratulating yourself on how much you “support Ukraine,” then perhaps it is time to ask whom, exactly, you value: Ukrainians as human beings—or Ukrainians as instruments for killing the people you hate.

The Mekon (Merz) is presiding over the steady rise of the Fourth Reich, which is quite clear from questions like this.

One can imagine such a question being asked of Goebbels in a 1941 press conference.

This reporter is an ordinary German not some neo-Nazi fanatic (as far as we know) and this is the kind of question that he thinks will engage other ordinary Germans, most of whom are also not neo-Nazi fanatics.

Germany is not (officially) at war with Russia. German troops and civilians are not being killed by Russia. Putin is not daft enough to try to invade Germany, a NATO member.

That alone tells you where we are: A return to 'untermenschen' and the elimination of Slavic people but this time via Ukrainian proxies.

Serbian President Vučić gave a statesman-like response to this question by saying he hopes that "the killings will end."

But that is unlikely given that he also thinks the war will continue and he doesn't see a way out.

And the reason that he doesn't see a way out is because - given the EU's characterisation of Putin as another Hitler who wants to conquer all of Europe - the EU has no-one to negotiate with, which essentially is what they want.

Meanwhile the EU's Kaja Kallas wants Russia beaten and broken up.

Why would Putin negotiate with people who genuinely seem to think this characterisation is real and espouse this end-goal?

He would be nuts to do that.

So who is the alternative? Medvedev? Stroll on!
