mea culpa pops up again

The Dissident reports:

The Wisconsin Republican senator Ron Johnson is currently under attack from Democratic Party partisans for comments he made about Ukraine and NATO saying, “Just the way we treated Russia after we won the Cold War, how we pushed them. I’m not defending Putin, but we said we were not gonna move NATO one inch to the east. We brought it right to their doorstep basically. What did we think Putin was gonna do?”.

Quite.

As FNN has said many times before...

What if Scotland gained independence, then threatened to join a Chinese military alliance and shutdown the Faslane naval base whilst intimidating, kidnapping and murdering English speakers in the border regions of Scotland?

What would England do?

Stand by and watch it all happening without intervening?

Stroll on!

The British state intervened in Northern Ireland (NI) by sending the army in to protect the Catholic minority from loyalist intimidation and NI was not even remotely threatening to join an enemy military alliance, shut down a key naval base or intimidate, kidnap and murder English speakers (that all came later) generally.

So Senator Johnson is right.

What did anyone who wasn't living in 'end of history' la-la land expect Putin to do?

Interesting?
